Our long tradition as a Center of Excellence began in 1987, when we became one of the first ASCs to be licensed as an Article 28 facility by the State of New York and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. We have achieved and maintained consistent 3-year accreditation with the prestigious Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care since 1990.

We are leaders in the field of ophthalmology and our surgeon director, Dr. Jerome H. Levy has positioned us on the leading edge of technology. We are dedicated to helping the people of our community. We are the recipients of the Coat of Arms of the Borough of The Bronx. This esteemed proclamation is in recognition of their dedication to the Mission Cataract Program, a nationwide program which offers free eye screenings and surgery to people with limited resources. Through this program, they have provided the gift of sight to hundreds of people all over the world. In addition to their many other prestigious awards, is a Legislative Commendation from our New York State Senator for participation in the Mission Cataract Program and ongoing service to The Bronx community.
